Went to work early this morning, and got my design verification out of the way, so I could get out and swing this afternoon. The nice part was I didn't even have to leave work. The back side of our parking lot (and the grassy area around it) was part of the church next door back in the 1800's. Probably half a football field worth of grass. The building manager said have at it.
Got maybe four and a half or five hours in. Found a boat load of clad (we have had our company picnics here in the past). Also managed a little silver, and a few wheaties.
The prizes of course were an 1899 Barber Quarter, and a 1957 Rosie. And the Barber was an "O" mint mark (first for me). It was surprisingly shallow at only 4 inches. I may have just nicked the rim, but you probably wouldn't know it unless you looked really close. It's not like it's key date or anything, but I'm pretty pleased nevertheless.
Not a bad afternoon.
