This spoon has me stumped in regards to the markings on it.

It's a souvenir spoon. Someone went to Helena, Montana and bought the spoon from a place that could also add their initials to it. It could date back to the early 1900's. Here's a few more examples:

The spoon has Dec 25 1896 engraved on it under Helena Mont. So you are spot on with your info.

I wish I could take credit for such amazing and skilled knowledge, but I went to one of the links on that search page. It said that the spoon I was looking at was from 1910. :tongue3:
