I dug these both this week. They were dug within a mile of each other at 1860s homesites. They are hand forged iron, have you dug one? I thought stovetop lifter, now I don't know. Help!

I found something just like that but smaller in a field this summer, I assumed it was a part from farm equipment because the land had been farmed for years. HH
