CONGRATULATIONS! I know how it was when I found my first seated.

Woo-Hoo!!!!

Just waiting for the day when I'll be able to dig my first seated. Good job!

Congrats on the seated...still waiting for my first seated. I've only been detecting for three years so I hope it does not take another twelve...lol.

Well I have your 15 year record broke, I have been after one of those now for 22 years.
Way to come out of the closet.
Thanks for sharing, looks nice for a first.

Congrats on the fine coin! Amazing how it was so shallow... I look forward to the day when I get one.

What part of the country are you in?
Thanks to all for the encouragement !! Yes DJ , it did make my day !! ;D I live in South San Francisco ,California . It is not a part of San Francisco but a different nearby city . I found the Seated here in "SSF". I'm a senior citizen and it was on my "bucket list". I thought I'd never find one .I've found a few coins that were considered harder to find but no Seated . Finally !!
Congrats to those who have found them
already and good luck to those who haven't . I litterally "went Bananas " when I saw what I had found !!
Rock on Nick!!
Yeah ,txkickergirl , I'm still on that cloud !!;D
Yeah Rob , 22 years , WOW !! I'll bet when you finally hit one you will be in a spot where you will find several more . METAL DETECTING CAN BE REALLY STRANGE SOMETIMES !! Thanks again all !!

Congrats on the Seated! Great Find.
If you found that by a couple of nails, and shallow which detector were you using? Small coil?

Awesome find! Its a great feeling to dig up a tricky target in an area that was hit hard-- and then realize that it's something AMAZING. Hooray for being willing to dig a little bit of iron in order to get the good stuff.

those nails masked it all this time -- thats why you gotta get rid of the iron to find goodies at times. ;

Congrats,

Seateds are really nice to find. They don't come often enough though. I'm lucky if I get 1 a season. And I hunt hard and old and productive sites. They where held tightly in those times.

The stigma has now disappeared. You will find more and more of those lovely ladies, just rub the coin on your coil before you head out to detect. Congrates!

Mark +DD , I was using a Fisher F-75 with the stock 11" DD coil . The Separation due to the recovery speed is incredible !! Thanks to all for looking and posting . All you're comments on the Seated Liberty coin and detecting are right on !!  ;D
