Oh wow, weird rock Fossis.

Was it a 'nodule' that you broke open? ???

Nice fern too.

It was allready broken

Fossis...........

One thing Oklahoma has is lots of fossils. Most of it was once under an inland sea. There are several bare banks along one of the turnpikes and college and high school students regularly make trips and dig out fossils. Monty

Thanks, we are working on leasing some more land for mines, (more fossils) then.

These are a few miles east in AR, but the same vein goes all the way into Ok.
I have guided the Palentology club from Dallas-Ft. Worth on several hunts around here, in one mine in OK, we found ferns,
petrified wood, small (Golden Ammonites), that have pyrite on them, plus sea shells.

Very Cool Fossils. The last piece is very colorful. Looks like a heart in the middle of it :icon_sunny:

Thanks Kirk, we find many colorful & strange rocks along with the fossils.
This one caught my eye, almost looks like a 'tunnel'.
