Is it worth getting fixed and where.I love using it,but lately the key pad cuts on and off during hunting. You have to hold a button down for 30 or more seconds before the display comes up.If it does come up.Can push a button as for( volume) and pin point screen comes up.I bought a new TK 2,but not really fond of it.Used it twice. And gave it away, not by choice, the man never paid me for it.Then moved. My fault for letting him take to try out!!!Anyway, any ideas :icon_scratch:

Diva, Hi! I had the same problem with my first CZ-7. I'm sure you know the face and switches are the same as your CZ-70 Pro, but some folks reading this may not. What goes wrong with them (the switches) basically, is that they are made of two pieces of semi hard pvc plastic and when you push the "tactile" switch, the upper half of the switch assembly contacts the lower half, making a connection. Well, I know that part is common sense but what isn't common sense is that the inside of the switch is: (drumroll!) painted with a silver conductive paint, (yes, paint!!!) and after awhile, the plating wears away and causes the slow reaction you are seeing. Eventually, mine quit working altogether and I modified it. I have heard since, from several folks that Keith Wills at http://brokendetector.com/prodserv.htm is a great person to deal with, and by checking out his site, he sounds fair! What the heck, give him a ring or write him an e-mail and I'd say he will let you know if it's worth fixing or not. I'll bet it is! Hope this helps! Great hunting and good luck!! Regards, skypilot02.

Diva, No problem!! :) With all the folks out here on TreasureNet, I'd say there's no trouble we could have with our detectors that someone hasn't had before. Glad to help! Good luck and great hunting! Regards, skypilot02. (Richard).
