I been using the etrac for 5 months now, pretty much everyday and doing quite well. I hunt cellar holes and woods stuff like that. I hunt mostly with TTF.now I'm looking for a second smaller coil, to be honest the stock coil gets hung up on everything .so I was wondering which one would be best and would dept be affected.any would be appreciate. Thanks

I'm purchasing the CoilTek 6" Treasureseeker for mine. Quite a few positive reviews on that one. I'll let you know as it should be here next week.

I use the Minelab FBS800 for my small coil, sure some are smaller but it works fine for me so far.

That's the coil that comes with the replacement shaft as well...correct? I looked at that one but just could not talk myself into paying the $315.00 they were asking. Of course, that was a carbon fibre shaft.

Your next coil should be an 8 inch. 5 inch coils are great but are best reserved for only the most highly trash-laden spots.

Thanks for the reples , did any one try the 8x6 butterfly coil .I don't mind spending the money if its proven to work without missing a beat, but id rather not.I don't really need the extra shaft. 300,is steep thou .The resale value isn't that great for coils, so its nice to no what your buying is going to help your needs.thanks again

The 8" Minelab FBS coils pop up used (without shaft) for $100 if you are patient, they work great and a friend of mine keeps his on his Etrac about 90% of the time. I haven't used the 8x6 you are asking about, but a customer told me he preferred the 10x5 Coiltek to that coil.... His report was the signals were cleaner and hit harder while the separation was similar.

As as for the the small 5-6" coils, the Coiltek 6" is the best bang for the buck of those....

I like the look's of that 10x 5 coil, not a lot of things to get hooked on, can't seem to get a price. Do you no off hand? I guess I'm really looking for something that does get hooked up on so much. You want to keep it close to the ground and them sticks get caught up in side the stock coil which is aggravating cause I don't want to damage it and my patience get tested at times.

I have the Coiltek 5X10 Joey coil and like it a lot for tight or trashy areas. I found mine used on E-bay a couple of years ago.
