Adena Finds

Finally found a couple nice pieces with so much rain everything was flooded so I went to a field I have found some nice ones before. These 2 are the nicest of the finds. The knife hits rite at 3.25 inches and is intact which in a field that they disc it just happened to be laying the same way they run the tractor so the disc has missed it. I sure was happy to see it just barley showing and as I pulled it out it just kept coming and I was glad it came out whole. Its a black flint with some white and brown mixed in. Its going to look good in my frame. The grey one has a impact fracture on the tip and they reworked it into a hafted scraper I believe it was a Adena Robbins when whole. I dont find many in this grey color. It was a good day in Georgia this week. Hope others are still able to get out, rock

I figured it was a good Turkey Day post seeing its a Adena Turkey Tail Harrison shows bevel flaking on right side of each face of the blade. Glad yall like it

You got that rite I have found so many would be killers in the fields just to find them in half. I guess cause its long and narrow it escaped the disc. But if I hadnt saw it the next disc probably would of gotten it due to it so close to the top after all that rain.

Thanks its one of my best finds for 2018. Not many posting lately probably snowed in. Lots of rain here
