Besides Coinshooters of San Diego (which is strictly metal detecting) there is also Treasure Seekers of San Diego, which was established in 2003.

We meet the first Wednesday of each month at the Joslyn Senior Center in Escondido, starting at 6:30 PM.
We have a membership of over 150 people, with approximately 80 people attending a meeting each month.
We have interests in: Gold hunting, Metal Detecting (beaches and old ruins), Gem hunting, Fossil hunting, Relic hunting - pretty much everything.
We hold various outings each month - some on weekends and some on weekdays.
We have members from all over Southern CA. from Huntington Beach to Jamul, from the Coast to Borrego area.
We are a group that likes to help each other.
