Rirst of all, the DD coil has transformed the ACE 250 into a super fighting machine! Really, the difference from the stock coil is amazing. Tonight at my usual in town sight I picked 2 Merc's 3 wheats and a token. All in 40 minutes with my wife running the Garrett pointer, which is the best thing to happen to metal detecting since buttered toast.
I refuse to hunt without the Garrett pointer!
The Ace 250. Well its an entry level machine with the stupid slow coil. Now the 350 offers the DD coil which is the way to go for an entry machine that kicks ass. The new Outlaw is the best coin shooting machine. Nothing better, even better than the 705 Minelab, I got tired of the bouncing VID of the 705. Although the 705 has a great menu structure and easy on the ear tones, its still an overpriced machine in a fancy box.
