Ace 250 vs. Other

Hello all, I am looking for a detector in or around the 250 dollar price range. One that I have read alot about is the Garrett Ace 250. So my question to you, what is the best option out their in my price range that is very user freindly for a first time detector? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Get the ACE....lots of value for the money. Just take a look at the OFFICIAL GARRETT FORUM'S recent "ROAM'N FO A ROMAN COIN CONTEST"....

Dittos on the Ace 250. There are others near the same money, but they aren't in the ball park in features or quality.

A lady friend has the 250 and loves it. I hope to test it against some of my machines soon. I figure it's probably just as good. Also some really like that Ace 150. I've seen those go pretty low cost on ebay in used condition.

I really like my Ace 250, I have found some pretty cool stuff with it. I would like to eventually get something I can do water with, but for now I'm very happy with the 250.

the Ace works well in most situations as long as you dont have super minerilized soil or want to hunt the wet salt sand at a beach. also look at the Tesoro silver uMax. not as many bells and whistles but better depth.
