Fisher F4, Minlab SE
Hello all new guy here. Been looking around the site for awhile now trying to learn all I can before I buy my 1st detector.

I think I've narrowed it down to the ace 250 or the F4. I need all the good and bad info on both of them. Mostly the F4. I think I've read every thing on here about the ace 250. The 250 sounds like a nice machine.

Thanks

I don't know anything abut the F4 but I can say that I know you would like the Ace250. The 250 works well in the East Texas soil. It is a coin magnet. It also will relic hunt with good depth. Hope this helps.

Haven't much looked into the 4 either, but the 250 is a silver pulling magnet!
Good luck

havent heard to much on the f4, but its built off the 3300, which is a deceint machine with some faults, sounds like they have updated all the things i didnt like on the 3300, pole assy. slow audio responce, and GB was a pain to set at times. with the f4, pitch on the sound now varies on items according to signal strength, which the ace or 33oo do not, their the same intensitivity regaurdless of depth, the f4 has the dd coil like a t-2 or f-75, i love this coil on my t2, plus it has the 8" coil as well, the bounty hunter 4" & 10" coils work on this, and are fairly cheep to buy, i would like to try one Thompy

If the F4 you are looking at happens to be a Fisher, I'd put my money on the Fisher... Don't mean to make any of you Ace users bark ;) , but I have 3 Fisher metal detectors and they are user friendly, and built as rugged as they come...

Well It looks like I'm going to buy the F4. I always heard you buy the best you can afford and you cant go wrong. I hope that is true:)

Thanks for all the info
