Ace 250 & rat phones

Ace 250 & rat phones

Took the 250 along with the 1350 out today. Plugged in the rat phones into the 250 and no sound. Messed the knobs on the phones still nothing. Could see the curser moving around. Unplugged the phones heard beep beep what the? Plugged back in nothing. Ok maybe my phones quit. Got the 1350 out of truck plugged them in i got sound. Wait a sec. let me dig this nickle first. Ok got the nickle back to the phones. So i plugged them back into the 250 no sound. Now for my question. Anybody ever had this problem be for? Might go to radio shack and get some other phones and see if they work with the 250.

New phones dont work ether. Time to call garrett i guess.

Sorry to hear about the headphones problem! As I was explaining in an earlier post all companys that make detecting equiptment use a 1/4 inch plug and jack for the sound. Here lies the rub... Its all built in china and is of the poorest quaility. The companys are saving a few cents but we the consumer are the ones who suffer. The companys should get thier heads outa thier butts and realize it costs them more in repairs than it would to buy American made quaility products and not have to deal with that china junk! Sorry you were made to suffer at a companys stupidity and need for greed!

I have a ACE 250 and now use headphones with it. I couldn't find the headphones with the 1/4 inch plug and didn't want to spend a whole lot. At Radio Shack they have a 1/4 plug adapter golden color (it works great), now I use the headphones with the smaller plugs.

Update the ace is fine my fault. Forgot you can switch ends on the ratphones. Plugged them in and they work fine. Now back to radio shack to get a differant 1/8 to 1/4 adapter for the other phones.
