Night Stalker said:I have a coil cover, but it hangs on a hook.? Used it once, I noticed dirt and dust accumulated under it so I quit bothering.?
Pennyworth said:I also have the Ace 250 and want to buy a coil cover.? Kellyco has them for $11.95, but they want $5.00 for shipping which is a little steep for something that doesn't weight much.? Just my opinion.? I want to try and buy one from a local store instead of mail order.? But definitely buy a coil cover, I had one for my older Compass detector and it really saved my coil.? I like to scrub the ground when I detect.? ?

trace the coil w/a sharpy. cut it out w/a good pair of scissors.
get a soldering iron or wood burner make your holes or drill em.
put some weep holes . tie wrap securely to coil.
when you get home wash with hose.
it really will protect the coil. and doesnt effect the performance at all.
and easy cleanup after a hard days hunt is a plus.
