Yesterday was the Schuylkilll County Wine Festival ,
so my Main intent was to go look for fresh drops.
By the time I got there the was a gentleman already doing the rounds
with his Eyes.

My Gas rebate 49 Cents only 36 cents looked fresh

and my deepest dig. Not sure of age.
4" depth & green tarnish says not from yesterday.
but I think Earring .
I tried to get the loop.
I could get the signal, with my probe but the ground was like Cement in the Field.
But between the hardness of the ground & heat of the sun. after 5 minutes of
it being impossible to get a Bead on. I finally decided it wasn't worth the Trouble.

Not bad for an hour. Silver is very hard to find here in A2 but research is still ongoing I dont know why but those canadian pennies ring very high pitched on my AT Pro thanks for sharing and the pics It looks like an awesome place to hunt!!!!

Those pictures ! Lots of potential there, has to be a good spot ! I might go hunt today but my neck is acting up, maybe if i get to where I can look up then I will go =D

According to forecast, should be more rain there today, jeff. Sooner or later the silver has to pop.

Jeff, that reminds me of an old, church-owned picnic grove that is hidden away back some country roads, not available to the public, but for family reunions etc., and very old. I contacted the caretaker who told me they would be there the next day power-washing and mentioned they could use an extra hand. Next day I show up with one of my boys and pitch in and help for a few hours, which is fine with me, they were short handed and welcomed the help...so after we clean up I bust out the ATP...visioning piles of silver and maybe even gold...three hours later I have a few dollars in clad, some modern costume jewelry and a LOT of trash..I went back the next day with similar results. Nothing old, nothing deep. As usual, great pics..thx for sharing...ddf

this is another of my old standby parks I've been hitting since the mid 70's.
oldest finds I remember here at the moment were a half cent, flying eagle and seated dimes.

park appears to have started here.

in the mid 1800's, where I put the yellow x
and gradually expanded to the size it is now.

the internationally known Fred Coleman Memorial Labor Day Pigeon Shoot
would have been held their today again if not banned by animal rights nuts

Pennsylvania Trapshooting Hall of Fame

still pull indians on occasion if I work the older half of the park very carefully.

Still no corkscrew huh. ;)

Isn't it funny though? How a place as beautiful as this one is can keep one coming back, and back, and back, and back...... ;)
There is something to be said for just "being there". Some places are like lil battery chargers.
Glad you could get out! :)

HOW WAS THE G5 SUMMITT JEFF. NICE PRIZES..

You'd probably find more metal if you shut off that camera and turn the detector on instead. Looks like a photograpghy hobby interrupted by a metal detecting binge! :tongue3:

Really nice looking park. Good to see your hunts too.

Good luck.

I only take pics before leaving the park.

twice in my life I carried my camera with me into the Field.

Once at the Beach.
and once at a old inn site.

at the beach it was in a camera case , When I took it out
it refused to turn on. something inside Jammed.
had to order another Camera off Ebay.

at the Inn site, I carried the Camera to an old Foundation. Set it on the Foundation
& hunted. When I picked the Camera up, it refused to Work.
said the Lens was non Functional. had to order another Camera off Ebay.

Not doing it a 3rd time.
I now leave my Camera in the Car till I'm done & hope I remember to snap Pics
from all angles.
