Did my research to find owner who happened to live next door,
so I knocked & a woman answered the door, so I said,
"there used to be an Old Grove next door" she said "Yes"
I asked "Is it OK If we Metal Detect there ?" she said "Yes",
I Thanked her & We went at it.

Later her Husband drove over, told me the History of the place,
and said shortly after it closed for good, there was always
someone detecting there, but it's been 9 or more years
since.

Well you would never know anyone detected it, other then the Speed I got a Yes
from the landowner, told me she was not new to being asked.

nice job.... the conditions look a lot better than the last place...

Great score on the silvers, I'd say the place is a go and congrats on the finds you've already gotten

Almost Jeff, an S is close as it gets, would have got my adrenelin goin', great finds though..........Rich

Well, sorry to have left you down buddy..........LOL!! I think I was just returning the favor.....remember Tremont 2 years ago....I asked you to please find a D too......oh well as long as we keep diggin' silver!!

My total for today was 19 wheats (the oldest was a 1921 and the rest were 40's and 50's), 2 Jefferson nickels (both from 1956), 1 memorial, the 1943 plain Mercury dime the 1957 Silver Rosie and the lone Indian Head cent. After a light cleaning the Injun still looks like a 1909......can't see the mint mark area yet, sure hope an "S" shows up there after I soak her. Of course the damn "D" will show up for me........on the wrong coin!!

Congrats again on the Finds today Jeff!!

Dave

THANKS ALL

LOL Dave !

it can only be a plain or an S on an 09 Indian
S mark will be bottom back under wreath.

Jim was nice detecting a mowed yard after the last place.

this one is loaded with iron.

Now I have to work on Defunct grove #3
