I bought this life straw a couple years ago and It came in handy on a couple of hot summer days last year. I carry a small back pack that I use for just my water, but when the hot summer days come around , just can't seem to carry enough sometimes. Nothing like having to call it a day just because of running out of water, especially when finding stuff. I used it a few times last summer and it kept me from calling it quits early every time. As you know most areas will have a bottom with a creek or river. Can use it right from the creek, or what I like to do is fill up this bottle I have and drink the water from it. I went guinea pig style last year and probably drank around a gallon or so all together from several creeks and rivers. Didn't kill me or make me sick. Was kind of surprised the thing works lol! Anyway just a thought for some of you guys that have had that problem on those hot and muggy hunts. Should be able to find them at any sporting goods store or online.-----HH out there-- GL! 011.JPG

That's cool. It's one of those things that you hope you'll never need, but are glad to have if the :censored: hits the fan. In the hot months I take along 6 or more waters in a cooler. Nothing better than an ice cold water on a hot humid afternoon.

I don't really do much wilderness hunting (or anything) but I have read reviews on these and they seem to be an essential item for an emergency car or bug out kit. Pretty inexpensive too.

Looks good for only around 20 bucks. Thanks for the tip.

I wondered if those work. Do they have one beer flavored?

Most of the time don't even use it. does come in handy for those places that take allot of hauling to get too and really don't want to have to carry allot. I agree nothing like cold water and it is not the most pleasurable thing to use for rehydrating, but it works. Helps keep from heading back early in some situations.
