I got out this morning for an hour and a half and hit a school I hadn't made it to yet. I scooped up a big pocketful of clad from under the woodchips, a silver bracelet charm, a junk pendant and 2 junk rings. I almost passed out when I saw the big ring, until I remembered that A: I was in a school playground, and B: I was digging a penny tone! I also found this weird metal round with a target looking thing on it (again, brief excitement as it's about the same size as an older silver dollar), and three kids tokens.

Clad totaled 11 quarters, 16 dimes, 7 nickels, and 26 pennies, including 1 canadian, which equaled up to $5.06. My best clad haul in a long time. And got a big hug from my 9 year old when I presented her with the 2 rings. All in all, not a bad morning hunt!

Thanks for looking, and HH!

Great day for you and your daughter....You need to take her with you ...those little bodies are great for sliding under school playground equipment ....LOL....I tell my daughters they can have what they dig but if its a biggie they have to split with Mama! They rather use the detector and have me dig tho!

WOW you found all of that in a school playground?
i need to hit the places around my area and see what i find

Nice finds, congrats on getting out! HH, Mike

Congrats on your finds!!! This warm weather is great, but probably will be short lived.

nice finds treasurekid!! any day you can put a smile on your daughters face is a good one!

Nice haul, Kidd. Sounds like you made your daughter happy.

What is that silver charm? I can't tell what it is. ???

Looks like a good day of detecting....Having fun and digging plenty of coins is always a good time!!!!!! Good luck in your future hunts........Seeker :D

haupin, it's a small silver beach charm, with a beach pail and shovel. Really a cute little piece, but the chain link is in a spot the makes taking a good pic of it awkward. It's not marked sterling or anything, but it registers right smack in the middle of the silver range on the ACE250s target ID, while all the other "junk" jewelry registers as copper/bronze or nickel. Here's a better pic of it. Thanks for your replies everyone, and HH!
