Spent the week at Marco Island. First 2 days hunted the beach and water to chest deep from South beach park north to Residents beach. Found 29 cents. The area was replenished this year and is full of aluminum junk. The beach is not sand, it is crushed shells and hard to dig. Next day was Margarita day ( no hunting ) Last 2 days went to Delnor-Wiggins state park in Naples. There were targets on the beach and in the water. Good sand, easy digging, no wave action. Large cut between the beach and an extensive sand bar. Found a sterling ring in 3-4 feet of water. Must have been there a while, it looked black from all the crud on it. The big hotels and resorts south of the state park looked inviting. Would like to try that area during the busy season.
