My second SLQ ever!!!!! :headbang:

I was debating where I should detect this evening, and not coming up with any good ideas I decided to head out to one of my old spots where I've managed a merc and a few wheaties in the past. When I got there I was going over the same holes I'd dug before with not much to show for it except a clad quarter. I decided to move about 50 yards away where I had never really gone over with my detector. When I got over there I began to notice that old, tinted glass--you know, the kind that says a VERY old house was once here. After about 15 minutes I got a nice signal, and thinking it was another clad quarter I dug a six inch hole. When the dirt popped out I was shocked to see a nice but dateless SLQ staring up at me!!!

Earlier I went to a park and found a neat 5 cent trade token. Didn't take a pic of it yet but will post it tomorrow.

HH,

Ray

Congratulations, those are hard to come by. I have found 4 in ten years.

WTG Ray, I maintain a sense of jealousy from the great finds you guys have worked so hard to find. Tht is a truly amazing find. My guess from trolling here is that this is a very rare find.

iv yet to find a slq as well
congrats that's a great find!!

Nice find you sure don't see many SLQ....Matt

Thanks everyone! Yes, this is quite an exciting find for me, especially for up here in Washington (heck, anywhere for that matter!).

Went back to the same spot after church this afternoon. Will post a new post in a minute.
