Today dawned bright and sunny, so after yesterday’s poor effort, himself wanted to go back to the same fields and do better 🙄 xx

And he did, bless him, he found this dress fastener (?) my best find was this intricate little button! Then a plain buckle, our first pipe and stem from this area, 2 weird bits, one bronze, one lead, musket ball and metal plate, no writing on it unfortunately, buttons, pen knife that has definitely seen better days and my one and only toasted Roman.

Hopefully next week will be dryer so we can get back to the pond fields on the other side of the village…and we can leave these fields till next year!!

Amazing finds! And I love this “etched”?buttons too!

I have 3 so far, 2 triangle ones and one with a sun. No idea on the age but they’re cute and seem hand made
