Ahh the joy of a Saturday spent out in the sun shine has long been awaited! We went back to the bald patches and did pretty good! xx

Himself found Roman disk brooch, the next I found, it’s another brooch, has the pin attachment bits on the back, then 2 finger rings a lead bead hole thru it, musket ball and a decorative piece, weird button, top of a thimble and other bit, a complete crotal bell, still rings 😆 some bits of buckles, tack pin and another weird button, buttons, a scrappy Roman, has victory on the back, but himself will have to clean it properly, and last but not least… my hammered 😎 xx

Tomorrow we are going to try a new field, not sure how we will do, I had a scoot thru it today, and found melted metal, which I think is from a nearby world war 2 plane that crashed…. So it may be a difficult day digging great signals only to find melted bits… but you never know! xx
