Well, they predicted rain for today, but after a morning shower, it stopped. So, after taking care of some errands, I decided to stop at an area park in the afternoon. I just happened to have the SE in the trunk with a charged battery. ;D

I went over to an area that I had pulled two sterling rings from last year. I figured I'd hit the area real well and dig any signal that could be gold. That's when I found this really ugly junk snake ring that was so bad I had to take two pics of it!

After picking up about $1.10 in clad, I got over to an area that I've done well at with coins before. Got a little junk and a couple of good signals there today. Here are a couple of pics of one of the holes. I put them in because to me, this is the best part of any good hunt - the dirt-covered silver still in the hole.

That hole produced a '57 Rosie and another netted a '46 Rosie. Not as old as I would have liked, but I'm not complaining. It's SILVER! After a long spell without getting any, it finally seems to be coming along. :D

Good luck to all and I hope you're able to get out soon!

You know, I must be retarded, because I can't find a silver Roosey to save my life. I found one at the BS camp in May of last year, first silver with the M6. None since. But I can find Barber dimes and Mercs galore. I'm actually kinda hoping my next silver dime will be a Roosey and not a merc...lol, seriously! Sorry Neil, I know how you feel about those mercs...

Nice snake ring. I'm almost intimidated by the second pic. Not really, but, you know.

Joe

Great finds! That '46 looks like it's in great crisp shape for being on the verge of Merc-i-ness.

Personally, I think the snake ring is awexome. Reminds me of the first Karate Kid movie for some reason :)

Neil, I don't know why, but I like that snake ring better than the Rosies :D :D

You had a more fun day than I did. . . silver and a ring, you can't beat that. . . I'll be glad when I finish putting in that stupid floor :tongue3:

Take care,
Mark

Cool snake, The rooseys are always welcome the ladies are usually hanging around nearbye..

Yep, rosies shine and that's all good with me!

Cool snake ring! Roosies are great finds, I would take one about now as I am on one of those silverless streaks that haunt us all. HH

Thanks Joe! That's exactly how I felt about finding a silver George.

Thanks Brett! I remember when that movie came out, my kids were little. I can't tell you how much time they spent sitting in a corner because they were chopping, punching and kicking each other - with white headbands on, of course!

Thanks Bill! I pulled an old 10 cent lady from 1920 outta there once. She apparently just hung around with the younger guys... :)

Nice finds Neil. Gotta love a two silver day anytime! You gave me a good idea, keep the SE in the trunk with a fully charged battery. That would be a better way to spend my lunch hour. ;D
Thanks Guy!

Thanks Patrick! I appreciate it!

Nice going Neil!
Those rosies are in great shape, but just like the other guys, the snake is the coolest to me. You sure were lucky that you just
happened to have that detector in the trunk. ;D
Find some more this week!

Mike, no kidding: I'd rather find one 1964 Roosevelt dime than fifteen of those rings right now, that's how bad it is! I'm almost convinced that my detector has silver Roosevelt dimes discriminated out. lol

I'd rather find a snake in the grass , then embarrassing this couple  ;D ;D ;D ;D

(I would show one more angle but it would result in my reply being removed )
