To TNET friends in Eugene,Oregon.
My Brother passed on Saturday. My son found the R.I.P. on my nephew's myspace page. My sister failed to Inform My Daddy or Myself. They will not answer calls from any of us.
My Brother was the Owner(he started this) of The Bijou theatre, in Eugene.
His name was Michael Steven LaMont. He had ALS, was 62 yrs old.

If you see his Obit , please scan and send me a copy,Please... I will owe you forever!

I have searched all the local papers and can find nothing, the Coroners Office gave my son the run around. I was at work when he called me! I'm the phone Greater for Dallas Wal-Mart, so ya know how that went...........

Thanks in advance......... Maggie :'(

PS. I knew someting was comming
As my EX Husband was by my bed all night thursday and I couldn't sleep. I was worried about our kids. Rick(ex) was my hubby for 16 yrs, he passed 05-26-2006.

I am sorry for your loss and my prayers are with you.

You said he Passed Saturday. The Holliday
may be the Reason.
It may hit your Local OBITS Wednsday.

Stoneseeker, I am VERY sorry to hear of the passing of your brother and sorry that you can't get any information regarding his passing.  :'(

You may try calling the local cemeteries, to see if he is scheduled or has been interned at that particular cemetary....if the coroner office fails to give you any information.

Would this be the paper for his area? If so, as Jeff said, it may appear in Wednesday edition. http://www.registerguard.com/rg/CityRegion/Obituaries/index.csp

No obit yet :(

Found this:

Academy Awards: See the 77th annual Academy Awards ceremony in big-screen HDTV at 5 pm on 2/27 at the Bijou. All proceeds go to the Muscular Dystropy Association (ALS Division) for aid in Darfur, Sudan. Come to honor Bijou founder Michael Lamont, who has been diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). (http://www.eugeneweekly.com/2005/02/24/movies.html)

Tried searching newspapers surrounding the Eugene area....here's a link to all Oregon papers...some required registration...others did not offer obituaries...but the ones I did search found nothing :(. http://www.usnpl.com/ornews.php

Register Guard did not list his obit this morning either.

I wonder if Nobody Submitted one.

That's what I am thinking too....and that is why I was searching newspapers of the surrounding area as well. Just incase they printed one in another newspaper....

My favorite aunt died in June 2004...I only found out when I drove to her house while up north working to visit with her (Sept 2004)...the family moved and the new residents said they didn't know where they moved too...

I went back home and did a SS Death Index search and lo and behold....there was her name!!!! I was so hard broken!!! I frantically searched and no OBIT...I figured as much, as when her son, my cousin, died at age 40....they did not print an obit for him! :(...next time I get up that way...I'll have to search the cemeteries to see which one she was buried at :(...

Gotta say you guys and gals are AWESOME !! Many thanks.
I found him, at Musgrove Mort. Very nice folks there. He's going away 1-2-08.

Thanks too, to Ron and Ann, yup that's my brother!!

Took 2 days off from work, watched Tigger John replace the brakes on my son's car. Through the rain, sleet and snow.
Figured since my Gran Baby was sleeping, I'd pull out my MD. Yes.....through all that wet cold stuff. Found 3 roofing nails and eyeballed a penny!!! Kept my mind busy, lol.

Anyway, again thanks to all. My Brother is found. Love Maggie :-*

Maggie, I'm glad you found him. Maybe now you can have closure. May your brother RIP. And may your heart find comfort.

Pepper

Your Brother must have been an interesting person whom would have brought joy to a lot of people in his life.
