Some internet research has paid off.
I found an awesome little patch.

So far I've pulled 10 silver and 10 copper coins, not a bad ratio :)

The 52 Florin looks like it came straight from the mint.

Even the copper coins were coming out of the soil in excellent shape. I don't think they have ever seen cow pee, or fertiliser.

Thanks for looking and happy digging.

Those are all in spectacular condition. I wonder if someone hid them?

Thanks Pointman.
The site is an old sports oval. Lots of bottle caps and ring pulls.

I would say I found where they sold drinks, they were in a small area although still scattered about.

Nice finds ! What percentage silver are these "silvers " and what year did Australia lose the silver in their coins ?

Australia went from .925 silver to 50% silver in 1946.
And 1966 was the last year Australia used silver in circulated coins.

So these are all .925 silver, apart from the four Florins.

Tie me kangaroo down mate!Nice silver score:icon_thumleft:

beautiful coins, very awesome finds for sure, congrats

Those coins are beautiful! The design and detail are awesome. Very nice.

Nice digs . Thanks for the pics

The silver keeps coming from this place :)

I spent hours on the weekend hunting, and only scored two little silvers out of about 60 coins all up.
Today I spent my lunch break at the purple patch and pulled another five silver.
