Found a bit of the gold and silver today. Two mercs from 1936 and one from 1928. Found alot of wheat pennies and most interesting a stack of 4 wheat pennies stuck together like what happens when coins are under the ocean in contact for a long time, I was hoping they were silver but it is just a stack of wheat.
Also one of the worst looking buffalo nickles I have ever dug. Found a hand forged brass rivet from an old ship, maybe there is a wreck somewhere nearby. Best find was the 14K gold earring, it is only .7 grams, just under $20 worth (gold is getting more expensive). There were also quite a few sterling silver charms: a tomahawk, a lama, and a old bike (the bike is my favorite), they were all from the same silver bracelet which I found pieces of but it was thin and falling apart.
