A shovel or a Weapon...???

After getting started in the MD hobby, and breaking the cheap shovels that we get started with, I was doing research on all the different sharks and spearhead's out there when all of a sudden I had a brilliant idea.

Why don't I just make my own shovel..?

It's heavier than most but it is not too heavy to pack around. It is made out of stainless steel and has proved to be very useful against roots, rocks, and if needed m, can be a very formidable weapon... Lol

For relic hunting that's a great shovel. For park hunting, it's a great way to get yourself and any other detectorist banned from the parks.

So... 2 questions...

When does full scale production start ?
AND...
When can we order one ?

You did a great job!! I actually broke the one I bought like that.

Thanks! You must have been getting down to heavy duty business to break one like that..!

Soon as I can get some more material, I might just hook up a fellow detectorist with one... (no comment on the made-up word 'detectorist')

Dentist, Detectorist. They're both extracting something!:tongue3: Seems good to me.

I'm going to be way off topic and it's been so long since my Latin classes but I think RIV is right. We would be called Detectors (-ors means "one who"), Detectist (-ist means "specializing in) or Detectologists (-logists is a combo of -ist and -logy and would mean "specialist in the study" or something like it. I'm totally using that from now on!). A Detectorist would be someone who specializes in the before mentioned Detectors and doesn't make sense (like Doctorist). Or it really has been to long and I'm talkin' outta my ...!

Miss those class. You don't know how to insult someone until you can do it in Latin. Wins every time!

Easy answer, that tool is both. I like it alot. Great fabrication work. Id buy one.

Awesome! I just modified mine last night by cutting some teeth into it because it wasnt too effective against roots the way that it was. IMG_2989.JPG
