17th C Seal Matrix (Dad's find of the day!)

Dads records have 634 for the both of us, but good records started some years after I started. So I guess, that as I get the majority it would be close to 500.

Nice and productive quick hunt the Scottish hammered is a beauty and your dads fob seal was a nice dig. Never seen one of those horse guards buttons, very impressive.

Not quite your usual quantity, but you definitely have some nice keepers in there. Love the seal matrix and jetton, and of course the silver. BTW - my buddy Dan has used the following website to help ID Chinese coins. I've never really checked it out, but it might be of some use in ID'ing your coin.

Great looking seal and one of those makes me heart ache with want every time I see one dug. The Scottish Thistle is a nice ham nice and crisp still, though clipped pretty good it seems. Just wondering which piece of pottery you're referring to in picture #2 as I picked up a similar piece as the striped one.

Thanks Cru, I just looked up and read the process of slipware, I have wondered a few times how it was made, the pieces came off a fair site that I discovered a few years back.
