Today I spent 20 minutes digging up a freaking rock. It said it was a $1 on my Bounty Hunter 2200 and was 6 inches down. It pings the meter on the detector but is not magnetic. It's much heavier than it should be for it's size and sounds like metal when you hit it with a knife. A little smaller than a golf ball and that's not a gold color it's green.

If it's green, it could be rich copper ore. :dontknow:

Probably copper but could be something more. I would crush it if possible and pan it out or take whole thing and smelt it down and see what it does.
