Just took a quick stab--Googled "Railroad" & Rosario" I might be onto something...Might have something to do with the railroads in Rosario, Argentina. There's a big museum there. Check out the wallpaper logo at the link below. It kind of reminds me of your medal. Then follow redirect link to the new web site. An Argentine medal found on a soccer field would make a lot of sense, too. Wish I had time to pry a little more --HH, Dan

Thanks Dan,it's definitely a soccer medal for youth soccer. The background in the link you posted was "close but no cigar".The A.R.F.I. stands for" Argentina Rosario futbol infantile" I think. It was found on an athletic field in a park.I'm still trying to figure out the symbol or whatever it is on the medal. That is what has me puzzled :-\,again I would like to thank you for your reply.Good luck and H.H.AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS -GO PATS!!!!!!!!

Got it!
Back from vacation, and had time to dig a little more. It's the national flag monument, or Monumento Nacional a la Bandera, in Rosario, Argentina. The "prow" is supposed to symbolize a ship parting waves into the future/progress, etc. Google ""a la Bandera" Rosario" to get lots of results. Here's a link that shows a broadsided picture (halfway down the page) that catches the angle most like your medal. Have fun, Dan
