A Quickie but a Goodie

I'll be spending my day off scraping and painting so I decided to get up early and try the bottle dump I found last fall. I was hoping the spring floods had loosened the bank but it didn't. I checked along the river bank and just scraped my shovel through the silt and the Carters Ink Well was in the blade! This is my first ink well since I started actively looking for bottles. Found a couple more in the silt but nothing worth showing.

On the way back I hit my "stand-by" field and the first target was the breech buckle...couple other doodads to finish the hunt. Now I'm procrastinating...scraping paint sucks!

Yep...sucks...but now it's done so I've got a long weekend of detecting...after I finish painting tomorrow.

My weekend sort of falls in between you both. Not as bad as painting but not as good as detecting.

Nice Ink Romeo. Good to see things like the buckle still coming up from your backup site. I do the same thing, I'll try to sneak in little 2 hour hunts whenever I don't have the time to do all day hunts b/c of prior obligations.
