...another interesting piece of info. for us to enjoy...thanks monsterrack! Hey, I noticed it says "sherds"....I keep saying "shards", have I been making a mistake all this time...or is it just an "east/west" thing? lol

Great chart. All of my finds seem to be on the right half!

I call them shards too and thinking it's just a matter of what you feel comfortable with :icon_scratch: But here is what about.com says: Definition: Potshards (noun) are broken bits of fired pottery or sculpture. They are virtually indestructible (other than continuing to be broken into smaller pieces) and can be used for various things, from paving a kiln yard to telling an archeologist about ancient cultures.
Also Known As: shards, potsherds, pot sherds
Alternate Spellings: pot shards

Do you know what specific area that is referring to?
Decorations and stamping on pottery will differ from place to place as will the dates.

Alabama. Lower Ala almost coastal but still a good chart. Thanks Rack. Did I show that crazy 6 I took with the 18-19 spread? Old deer.
