Hey, guys, RP and I got out on a short excursion this evening. About 15 minutes into the hunt, I got this nice silver ring at 3.5". A little after that, I got a signal that jumped a little from 50-66 VDI numbers. It pinpointed at 3.5", and out came this token. On the front, it says, "Good For A 5c Package Of Candy," and on the back is, "All Quality Confections." Does anyone know how old this token is? I'm guessing late 1800s - early 1900s. About an hour after this find, I got a nice 50-52 VDI reading. This signal turned out to be a 1900 Indian Head at 4.5"! This one made it 41 for the year.
I also got 2 Wheaties and an old button. The button is a little larger than a quarter. The shank is in great condition.
RP ended the day with a "Good For 10c In Trade" token, an 1863 IH, an 1867 IH, 1963-D silver dime, and 3 Wheaties.
Big Bsco, you sacked me for a 3 yard loss last night, but I came charging back with an "up the gut" 1 yard touchdown run . Our competition is getting more exciting now, bud! Make me work harder !
