First off, I will apologize for my pictures and the fact that I have cropped them so extensively. I did so to shrink the file size, but also in an attempt to magnify the images. This is a silver dollar sized item....it is a complete circle. It has a hole at the top so I assume it was used as a necklace. I have taken two pictures of one side as it is more clear for identification purposes. The other side you will only be able to see a faint outline of another man. He is older or appears that way and has a beard and is also dressed up in a type of suit with bowtie. I can see no writing whatsoever. It has been suggested that this item is copper???? It was find at a home that was built in the early 1900's. (I also found an 1883 Indian Head the same day and some early wheaties.) I had an indivdual guess that the side that is clearer is Grover Cleveland. Anyway, do any of you have any ideas? God Bless and thanks in advance! By the way, this was found in Southwest Missouri.

me thinks thou art right. -----For newibes, if you download a free program called--- Infranview.com, you will find it quite easy for a novice to use and once you get the hang of it you can resize in just a very short time. I use it to resize quickly on items. I normally shoot in 10.1 meg and down size to what works.

I think Grant is a good guess, because the back side does look like colfax...at least sort of. The beard is the same even though it's impossible to tell this from the picture. I also initially thought Teddy Roosevelt, but I see no indication of glasses on his face. Thanks for all of your help and all possibilities and suggestions are appreciated.

How about Alton B. Parker, the 1904 Democrat presidential candidate?

PBK might have it, not really clear enough to say with certainty in my opinion. But is close. Here is a Grover Cleveland one for comparsion.
