Today I wasn't going to go out, but then I decided it might be good to visit
my new friend from the last permission. I had a plan. I was hoping to keep
myself in his mind and hopefully turn another permission by association. ;)

The plan seemed to be working but I didn't know that HE had another plan for
me today.

Anyway, I took a small walk, then sat and chewed the fat with him for a while.

After I left him I decided to stop by for a lil Libation.
I opened my car door, and there, at my feet, was a wallet. Not mine.

After a lil review, there was more than a hundred bucks, a credit card, license, etc.
I pulled out my cel phone and looked up the address. Noticing it was about 1 block from
where I had walked, I decided to stop looking for a phone number and just drive the few miles
back to where I had just left and give it back in person.

I knocked and he came to the door. (Only about 20 or so). He looked at this dirty,
grungy old man, (I was still dressed as "Dectector-man" LOL), who came knocking on his door
and asking for him by name. He was a *BIT* puzzled! LOL

I held up his wallet and said I found something I think you might want.

He was flabbergasted! :) We talked for a bit, he asked if I was a farmer. LOL
I filled him in and he almost shouted, "...and you found my wallet with your metal
detector!?!?!?" LOL

I was tempted to tell him yeah but then told him the truth. He offered half the money
in his wallet for a reward and I told him absolutely not. He'll need that money. But, I mentioned
that he could keep an eye out for more permissions and he took my number.

SO......how 'bout them apples!!! LOL

I had a plan for today, I didn't care if I found ANYthing today, just wanted to work on my
networking. AND....HE had another plan! As always, a better one!

Thanks for peeking and staying this long!

With or without Kaptain Karma you did the right thing, Great job. I wish someone would have done that for me 30 years ago when they found 800 dollars in my wallet.Hopefully the Kaptain paid them a visit:laughing7:

Heck of a good read Whadi. The elation one gets from doing the right thing like returning a wallet. :notworthy: Kudos to you, you old farmer. :tongue3:

I understand and empathize. It is supposed to be treat as you'd want to be treated. Right?
Thanks!

Awesome return! Nicely done!

Well your ultimate goal was put into action, you just may end up on some fantastic turf for a kind deed.

I don't know if i could have kept from laughing when he asked if it was found with the detector.
The AT is good but even it doesn't have leather/paper/plastic mode! Lol!

Those are nice finds you collected.

What, Blingie wanted a leather coat? He's headed to his treasure room to gloat.
Fishy is such a happy one, always smiling.

Are you having trouble when using quotes & a D together, a smilley face pops up? It happens to me.

Sorry i'm late to this post, ph has been a little weird, & i still haven't been able to clear old pm's. I imagine i'll need to do that twice when i finally am able.

....We have thunder!

Yep! It all worked out well! But, I'm not surprised. HE ALWAYS has a better plan than I. ;)

About your PMs? You might check your sent messages under settings. You might be saving a copy of everything you sent.
Get to where you can see the messages and scroll down the page until you see "folder controls". There is a link toward the right side of the page that says "Empty Folder". It will delete ALL of them! If you want any, save them first. But, that should get you the space.

Thanks for the response!
