Myself and my hunting partner Chuck went knocking on doors on Sunday and after 1 rejection and no one home at the next one the third was the charm. After talking with the home owner and learning that the main part of the home dates back to 1812 it sounded like it could be an interesting hunt. We started on the south west side of the house as there are several large maple trees there and we didn't make it much farther because there were many signals. I dug a couple wheats and then I got a hit that that the numbers were all over but it sounded good and at about 7" was a square nail and at 10" was the 1834 large cent, about 1/2 an hour later Chuck dug a 1833 large cent. We both ended up with several wheats and some clad before we left, I had 9 wheats 3-1920, 1935, 2-1941, 1944, 1947 and 1952d, a great start to this property.
