Im going to a hopeful hotspot tomorrow. Already got 2cd hand permission but am going tomorrow to shake hands with mrs thats owns the property. She is in her sixties and has 4 frames(not little ones)that are full of points that were all collected by her father I would say 40 to 50 years ago. There is a small stream in the valley of the property with high hills on either side of the property. Some rock outcropping but not alot. My question is where do I start? Its probably 20 or 30n acres and would take a while to do it all. Tomorrow I may have 2 hrs at most. There is some corn field as well, maybe 10 acres. No plowing but just had a heavy rain. No one has hunted this area since her father. Something has to turn up right? Wish me luck.

If it was me I'd try and get as much info from the lady as possible on where artifacts were found in the past. If she doesn't know I'd concentrate on the corn field than hit the creek.

Agree with thirty7. 20-30 acres is small so you should be able to cover everything pretty quick.I would aslo check the bluffs and up high for any overhangs.
Good luck!

20 or 30 acres takes me little bit. Tried to get there today but no one was home. Ill try again tomorrow.

I've got an 1800 acre hunting camp to try and figure out before turkey season comes in...quite a challenge to say the least. Good thing is artifacts have been found in the past, the owner gave me a small box of points today. Mostly late woodland triangles and Jacks Reef cnotched. They shouldn't be that far down at that age. I'm gonna walk some of the creeks and sink a shovel in some promising looking spots tomorrow.
