I picked this up from a pile of stones at the side of a gravel road in Oregon. I believe this is read on it:

When 'Boston Pacific' comes to my ears, I think of a train or power company. What is it?

May be part of an oil rig of sorts or something related to this type of industry........Boston Pacific was an Oil Company at least as far back as 1913 in Cali.

Yes, and this piece seems to have been used as a lid or latch. The opposite side looks like it has had it's use cut out of it
