A Merc Before Work

I had a really slow month of June, so I’ve pretty much kicked into high gear in order to get the numbers I’d like to see at the end of the year. I got out to the park really early this morning and hunted for a total of three hours. The first hour I thought my coil or detector were going, until I figured out I had left my settings on ferrous. Once I realized this and set my machine to conduct, I was fine. The entire three hours were down to the last few minutes, and just before I had to pack up and go to work, I got a good dime signal. Not the one that you sort of know was silver, but the one that could be. This was definitely going to be my last plug of the day, and what a treat when I turned the plug over to see the rim of a silver coin. It’s the best way silver can be served. I sometimes get the entire coin sitting there appearances, but it is the silver rim showing varieties that thrill the most. This was a close call for a skunking……but it worked out. I’ll do it again tomorrow.

I remember the merc dimes as a kid! I haven't seen one for a long time. Except for here on this site. I applaude all of those TH'ers that have found them. Each one is special! HHHH

Great job on the merc buddy.

Congrats on the Merc, a nice treat before work!!

Nice! What a great way to start the day!

Well that is a great way to start the day at work. Makes the first few hours of work go by pretty nicely knowing you scored on some silver. Congrats  Nothing worse than being skunked after a 3 hour hunt.
