Got out for a few hours today to a house I started working on 2 weeks ago. I only found 16 coins with a face value of $.51. There was a nice 1944 S merc and 2 wheat pennies a 1957 and a 1914. The other finds include part of a croatal bell, a hem weight, a brass bracelet with 2 hearts, 2 marbles, a Sanforized button, and a play money nickel. I also found a small bottle that looks like it was a perfume bottle. There are no marks on it and it is a machine made bottle so it could have been made anytime after about 1920.

I also found some large chunks of lead. Together they weigh about 9 pounds. Lead was used to solder gutters and to set iron fencing into concrete around yards. I find smaller pieces all the time, but this is the largest amount I have found in a single yard.

Not a great hunt, but a few interesting finds and the mercury dime keeps the precious metal find streak alive.

Thanks for looking and may your coil find you good things.
