A longtime lurker from NC

I have been on the Treasurenet site a lot but apparently I have never officially posted an introduction. I can't believe I have actually been registered since 2007.

Outside of my full-time job, I am the curator of a small military museum here in NC and we are frequently relic hunting for artifacts to put on display in the museum. We have also hosted a "dig day" with the local detector club for the past three years.

I am actually taking my two boys camping and gold panning in the Uwharrie this weekend but will post a separate thread with my questions.

I used to live in Santa Clara and San Jose but have moved around quite a bit since then. I was a helicopter mechanic at SJC and the company moved from there to Moffett shortly before I left the state.
