A Little Slow to Post This One. Found a 1950's Leslie-Henry Cap Gun on Wednesday.

Found this a couple of days ago, so I'm a little slow posting it. It's a 1950's Leslie-Henry cap gun. I found the handle piece in one hole and found the barrel about 20 feet away! The kid who broke it must have been mad and chucked it in two different directions! Took me a good 45 minutes to find the barrel, but I knew it had to be around somewhere.

It's in pretty rough shape, but still a cool find. My first cap gun and it's 60 years old!

Awesome find.

I used to play with similar cap guns when I was a kid. I can still hear the pops and smell that sulfur if I close my eyes.
I loved those things.

These days they're probably considered "dangerous" weapons or some other idiotic thing. I feel sorry for little boys today.

I think you have a wonderful Find, Congrats! Way to go on the perseverance to find both pieces

WTG.

Very nice.. I have a couple laying around somewhere, but not quite as old as yours, those things hold up well for being left out side for many, many Years.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this is a cool find! I ordered some aluminum solder (it will solder pot metal as well) and I'm going to attempt to fix it. The trigger still works, so maybe it will be in working condition in the near future. I'll keep you posted.
