We took a trip to the lake bottom to detect around an old home site hoping to find some silver. Didn't come out with any silver, but did find some nice points. Found the change in a playground and the rings come from the beach. Will take pics of my other points if anyone is interested in seeing them.

Dishinet those are some fine finds..... what a contrast between the different ages and cultures that lost them. Would love to see more.

God bless

Beautiful finds Dish! :o

You might also consider posting them in the 'American Indian Artifacts' section!

Congrats on those finds!

Welcome to the forum, Dishinet. Nice points. :)

When you say you detected the lake bottom, do you mean underwater or a dried up lake? Sound's like fun.

No, I hunt the lake bottom once the water drops. There use to be a lot of houses there before they made them move to build the lake in the 50's. Most of the sandstone foundations are still there. So, where you find the foundations you usually find points. They all used the same high ground. By November the lake will be really low and everything will be accessible. Can't wait.

Very nice points, really like the drill!!! I think most of us here on Tnet enjoy seeing the points, I sure do! Maybe you will find some copper tools in the area with the detector. HH, Mike

Can you post some other photos too?

Nice points you got there.
