Got this yesterday. Wanted gold but will settle for Ice. :hello2: Looks a little rough. I think it was gold plated over 925.

I'm the world's worst photographer. You can't see it too good but the stones have a nice cut--the table is like a square with rounded sides. it's stamped 925. Can't see the other mark very good but thing it is GP. Looked on ebay and found some like it $1200-$1700.

It gave a nice solid tone about 80 (12KHz) and i thought it probably was another crusty zinc.

It definitely looks plated.
Take it in and have it tested...

Nice save.. Congrats

Wife says pull the stones out--doesn't fit her.

Just thought I should mention in afterthought the tone was not the same as a crusted zinc--in was smoother, cleaner, more steady. Actually sounded kinda plain. Crusted zincs have a scratchy sound but the VDI was similar.

Nobody wants to tell me they think this one is fake. LOL I spent most of my life working construction. Not afraid to speak my mind. Too blunt most of the time. Sorry if I offended anyone.

I'd feel better if the ring was marked 14k. CZs mount well in a plated ring.
Do let us know the verdict from your jeweler!

Keeping our fingers crossed!

Pictures don't always tell the whole story.
The best way to know for sure is to have it tested by a jewler.
Not to often they would put diamonds in a plated setting, so.....

Rhodium plating over sterling is for people with allergies. Jewelry that is worn a lot may need re-plating every two years. But I'm leaning to the realization that it's fake.
