✅ SOLVED A little help with two buttons I pulled today.

The first button is one of those "muffin-top" poofy buttons. It's gilt and has a small eagle over a shield, with like ribbons or something on the sides and a nest-looking pattern on the bottom. I can't read the back. This is the first time I've found such a tall button and google images was no help, though there are some with different tops.
The second button has a big'ole set of bagpipes on it. It was damaged so I had to glue it together.

I think the left one is mid nineteenth century new York state milita

Looking @ the button more in the zoom.. can you make out all the word "excelsior" on the button.. I don't think it is a NY milita looking @ it more now..

This one says it's good for midevil fair costumes but it's not quite exact but really close

Thanks. Yep, I found a lot of buttons that closely resemble the bagpipe button. I found it very near the Michigan officer's button and an old Hessian Eagle button. Whoever it was, it could have been a Scottish unit from either war, Rev. or Civil.
