Although this is not a today's find, I was wondering if anybody would know anything about these coins. The austrailian coin was found at a camping site about a year ago and the Tunisie coin was found in a cave on the island of Guam back in the seventies during a term of service time. U-rah USMC.....lol. Thanks all any help would be appreciated.

The Australian coin is a George the fifth (1910-1936) worth about $2.00 U.S. in my 1980 world coin price guide.
The Tunisie (Tunisia) coin is a Ahmed Bei (1929-1942) worth about a buck back then.

Great looking coins, Congrats!
Good luck, & Happy hunting~

Thak you all.......and thnak you Jeffro. I really need to get some kind of book to keep up with future finds. I do have a book for some US coins, I did'nt think about foreign coins when I started this great hobby. Any suggestions Jeffro.....At the present rate it looks like I will have made my millions, meteal detecting, some ten years after my death. It sure is a good thing I love this hobby.......Take care all and be good.

Simon and Schuster puts out a world coin catalog, by century. Luckily yours were twentieth century or I wouldn't have been able to help you. Mine was put together by a guy named Gunter Schon, Umlautes (those two dots over letters in German) over the u and o. Like I said its fairly old version, 1980, but they may still be printing them. Try your local B. Dalton's, or Barnes and Noble.

One thing I do know about world coins, most collectors around the world DON'T care what condition a coin is in. That seems to be an American thing. So the demand for mint state just isn't there, which keeps prices down. Hope this helps, HH!
