I went out this morning to a couple small local beaches and didn't find a lot but still had a pretty good time. I was looking longingly at the water but contented myself with the dry sand. I ended up with $2.56 in clad and my daughter got 36 cents. No pictures today. I did see a couple other guys out this morning but didn't stop to talk to either. I did say good morning to one of them but he didn't answer so like I said I didn't stop. I hope they did better than I did. Actually I don't think I did so bad. Shoot! I got my goal pretty much right off the bat. I got 3 quarters in one hole and not 2 feet away found the 4th quarter. A short while later I started finding even more of them. Yep, it was a pretty good morning for me. I'll take it!

Glad you hit your goal and got to spend some time with your daughter too! Hopefully you will be back down there by and in the water soon!

;you did better than me, I got 71c American and then the wind started to blow very hard. My detecting bud and myself hunted the Treasure Island Caddys waterfront area where according to the St. Pete times thousands of college and high school kids are celebrating spring break.

They must be broke :icon_scratch: cause my bud got 83c .

I did clean the beach of a bout 159 bottle caps

Were the waves rough where you were?

Well first off I can't get in the water with my Garrett but no the waves were NOT rough here. Very small beach areas that I went to this morning. I am wondering about the Spring breakers too. I've been watching the beach cams and although there are a lot of people out there it just doesn't seem like it is the influx that we usually get. I wonder how long the "Spring Break" time lasts? Anyone know?
