On my last hunt to my stand by site the best coin found was a 1933 5 cent. I commented that I hoped that would not be the last find of the season. Well, with snow on the ground I got out for an hour to that site and did a little better than 1933. First target was an 1832 provincial token...and it's a big one! It's in decent condition...these are usually pretty corroded. This one should clean up nice. Also found a bell and a pocket watch back.

I'll be getting out tomorrow for a few hours to a new site with lots of potential. Hoping to finish the season with a bang...literally.

Cannonball?

The big ones are more fun.
Going to be above freezing tomorrow, good luck out there on the new site.

Not bad Rome. I dug one of those coins one of my first time out with the Explorer. My first and only old canadian coin.

Awesome Nova Scotia Token ! :o :o :o
CONGRATS!

I would say that since the move I've had my best year!

cool token :icon_thumleft: good luck tomorrow, seems unusually late for you guys to be getting out, hope the permittable weather continues for you

Great looking NS token buddy! :notworthy:
Any more pics or information on the pocket watch? :icon_scratch:

Nice Canadian Token there Romeo. I dug an 1837 "BAS CANADA: Agriculture & Commerce" Token in the center of a Confederate Fortification that overlooked a branch of a the River here in Virginia. Right smack inbetween the breastworks. Definitely the LAST thing I expected to find there but goes to show you just never can tell what will pop out of the ground. Very Nice Digs my friend!! :icon_thumleft:

Congrats on the great token find and hope you get your cannonball , out with a bang ... Romeo1

Based on current forcasts I would not be surprised if we are detecting into January this year. It is currently almost 20 degrees celcius right now and raining. Ground is nice and soft!

From the land of the Bluenose...nice scoff. Seems to be a lot of those coming out of the ground lately....guess they don't like the cold. Best of the season to you and we may get a day or two yet.
