This is the first time I've ever posted on this forum. The reason is I don't usually do too good at the beach. But today I visited Atlantic City and I'm glad I did. Only found about $2.00 in change, all clad. But then I noticed a cut that was about 20 feet long and about 2 feet deep near an observation peer. It looked like it had been hunted already, but I gave it a shot anyway. About half way along the cut and about 3 feet out I got a real good signal. I scooped out about 6 inches of sand and spied a glint of gold. Low and behold it was a nice 14k religious ring. I really felt great when I showed it to a couple of fellow South Jersey Club beach hunters, who were at the beach. I also found a golden colored ear ring with little marcosite stones in it. It's unmarked though.

Here's some shots of the ring:

Welcome to Beach and Shallow Water. Great ring there. I'll bet if it was hunted before, they had their discrimination too high or just plain missed it in the sweeps that they were doing. When I was a coin shooter in parks, etc., I loved hearing a place was hunted out. I always came away with some really nice coins.

Great find.

Real nice find Skierbob! We hunted in Margate and AC on Saturday. Just some clad but a lot of fun! Wish I had a chance to talk to you at the Aston club hunt. I am planning on joining the club soon. Take care!

Hey Bob...congrats!!! We had about 8 diggers there on Saturday and only 1 gold ring. Nice one!

Congrats on the rings. You just never know what will turn up or where, but if you don't get out there, the results will always be the same---------Zip.

Nice ring. The earring looks nict too, keep it for the just in case.

I went with one friend to a certain beach recently that is hit hard. We hunted it slow and walked away with 2 gold rings and one silver ring. Plus each one of us had a pocket of change. I was disappointed when we got there and I could see holes everywhere. I believe they had the discrimination too high. We were finding pull tabs, lots of them but there was all the good stuff too.

Glad you are gettin your gold!
