You are on a roll now MiniMe! That Peruvian Whatz thing is cool looking! Nice find! See what you have been missing. ;D

It's becoming addicting for sure....just to think what I could find, drives me crazy ::)....LOL ;D

You'll dream about detecting, think about it at work, and do
anything you can to get out there...................You ARE
ADDICTED!!!

:D :D :DYou make it sound like an illness.....as I sit here at my desk at work posting this reply .. ::)..LOL ;D

Great start...Glad to see you are out hunting...Looks like you and Lil Man are going to be giving Civil some stiff competition! That Peru object is neat. Its just great to be out with the kids and teaching them the joy of detecting!

Getting out of the house is the best part of the whole thing. The only thing that bothers me a little is being at some of these places by myself with lil man....I had a man approach me yesterday while I was digging. Didn't see him until he was write behind me, started asking a lot of questions, made me a little nervous. I just grabbed my shovel, figured I'd hit and run if needed... :D .LOL

All in all I've had a blast so far and so has lil man....he loves helping me find stuff. He's also the expert hole stomper...can't even tell I've dug when he's finished ;D LOL. HH

Street value for the tumi keychain...25 cents. My wife and I always get a dozen or so of them everytime we go back to visit her family in Lima. I think they are made of brass, so those little buggers have some weight to them. They make your heavy keys even heavier, haha! Nice work, its always nice to find something international.

It is a replica of a pre-Colombian Peruvian knife called a tumi.

I think it was used to cut the heart out of sacrificial victims.

You could just use it to cut hot dogs into bite sized pieces that can be picked up with fingers.

Thanks Plehbah..
It also says that in Peru, to hang a tumi on a wall means good luck. Wonder if replica's will work.. :D It's going on the wall... :D..I sure could use some good luck these days....LOL. Thanks again.

You're doing GREAT Mini!! :icon_pirat: Already found a good luck charm!

Nana :)
